Postmodernist art of painting embraces the idea that it is no use in trying to be original because all the possibilities have been exhausted by traditional and modern painting. By embracing this idea, the process of painting becomes more interesting in style.
Because of the fact that they are not worried about what to paint, how to paint becomes, consciously or not, the criteria upon which paintings are differentiated. This attitude of acceptance is the cover for a more profound feeling of wanting to paint in a special way.

Postmodernist painting goes hand in hand with tendencies existent within the society, criticism being also its most important feature. The first type is more and more appreciated to the fact that the works of art are waterproof. Once the painting has dried off, nothing can erase it from there. Besides this, another special thing related to acrylic painting is that it can happen everywhere. Is it flexible and adapts to any kind of material you use as a support. On the other hand, oil paintings have a known a great appreciation within house designs. More and more people use this possibility to decorate their home.
All in all, the main word that I believe it best characterizes the style of postmodernist painters is postmodernism. The trends that appear in every art have the same essential ideas, painting being no exception from this.
