When waking up in the morning to discover you have rodents, control is certainly the first thing that pops in your mind. Whether you hear them scratching the walls at night, see droppings from them on the kitchen counter, or see mounds of dirt in your yard, there are always clear signs that you are having rodent control issues, and at that point, controlling them becomes the issue.

There are many animals that fall into the rodent category. Of course it covers rats and mice, but chipmunks, squirrels, moles and gophers are just a few of the many more that fall into this broad category. There are approximately 2,200 species of rodents.

In fact, almost forty percent of mammals fall into this category. Because of the sheer numbers of them, you can be pretty sure that at some point you will be dealing with rodents and control will be the issue at hand.

If gophers or moles are the pesty rodents, control will be somewhat easier because most gopher tunnel systems only house one gopher at a time. If they are invading your lawn or garden, you are going to want to get rid of them as quickly as you can, since they are destructive to your yard in more ways than one.

In addition to eating the roots of your vegetation, they also gnaw through your sprinkler lines, and even through underground cable and utility lines. Gophers are more active during the spring and fall months as the soil near the surface tends to be softer and more inviting to them.

If you are finding yourself with a gopher control problem, try using a Rat Trap in the gopher holes that you see. These traps can also be used on rats, chipmunks, and squirrels.

Though rats and mice are the most common rodents, control can be a bit more difficult rats more so than mice. Rats have a tendency to circle the bait, so to speak, before taking the bait. Rats are also less adventurous than mice. They like to hide behind the scenes.

So, if you see a rat, and you are sure it s a rat, you probably have a bigger problem on your hands than you may have thought. Most of the time, if you see a rat, it s because it is being forced out of the space it was inhabiting in order to search for food.

Typically, if you see one rat, there are ten more rats that you aren t seeing, which means you are going to want to attack these rodents and control the problem with everything you ve got. A Rat Trap would be a good place to start.

They can be placed anywhere you have seen rodent activity. They can be tied to pipes or rafters as well, for added rat control. These can also be used for any mice issues you may be having.

Mice are more active during the day, and rats are more active during the night time. This will also help clue you in on which type of these rodents you are dealing with. Luckily, there are many products on the market that can help you eliminate your issues.

Contrac Blox are a great all weather bait. You can use them indoors, as well as outside. You will want to place them anywhere you have seen rodent activity, but make sure they are out of sight and hand reach of children.

Rodent control, spider control, or any pest control problems are easily solved with the help of a pest control company that sells professional grade pest control products to the public. They ll also give you tips and advice to help you regain control of your home or business!
